Adesina College, Ibadan is a secondary institution that blends learning with discipline to produce all-round developed students. With well-seasoned teachers and up-to-date teaching skills and aids, the school is imbued with the capacity of moulding the kind of students needed to take Nigeria to the next level of development. What’s more, under the effective administration of a former secondary school teacher who knows what it takes to educate a child, the principal who doubles as the proprietor has been leaving no stone unturned to produce the best for the country. Active Learning

Below are some other facts you need to know about the college:

Daily academic activities begin by 7:30 am and end by 2:40pm
The college runs its academic calendar in tandem with the Oyo State Ministry of Education with slight variations in some instances. Admission into classes is by merit. Entrance examination is conducted into JSS 1, JSS 2, and SSS 1 in two batches; The first in April while the second holds in July
The Inter-House Sports competition is done biennially.
The school Valedictory Lecture and Service hold every July
The college has three divisions of SSS classes i.e. Science, Arts and Commerecial. Apart from English Language and mathematics which are conventionally mandatory, below are the subjects offered in these divisions:

* -Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Further Maths, Technical Drawing,Agricultural science/ Home Economics, Geography and Economics

* – History, French, Literature in English, Yoruba,Economics and Government

General/ Vocational Subjects – Economics, Civics, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Catering, Agricultural Science/ Home Economics, and Book Keeping

STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES

In ACI, students are closely monitored from JSS up to the SSS classes in order to see to their academic advancement. That is why the school does not admit transferred students into JSS 3, SSS2 and SSS3. Results of this show that 92 percent of students who graduate from the school annually get immediate admissions into various universities in Nigeria and overseas. The JAMB and post UTME results also give credence to the quality of students produced by the college. In the post UTME of Obafemi Awolowo University of 2015, the second best score was attained by a fresh graduand of ACI. Similarly, in the last JAMB 2016, three of our student got above 300.
The school has well-equipped and separate laboratories for practicals in subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Technical Drawing, Computer/ICT and Home Economics. In addition, the college is endowed with well-stocked college Library, Typing Pool and an Audio-Visual room.

What to Know About Registration

STUDENT ADMISSIONS

Academic achievement is only a small part of the picture in a student’s life, and is often weighted far too heavily in school admissions offices. Adesina College Ibadan selects students based on indicators of their future potential, characteristics including intellectual curiosity, perseverance in the face of adversity, and creativity. ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Admission into ADESINA COLLEGE IBADAN is strictly based on merit.
We admit students into JS 1, JS 2 and SS1 alone.
You can obtain the admission form at the school premises.
The school entrance examination usually take place at the school premises and is conducted in April while the second batch is in July.
Students willing to transfer to Js 2 and Ss 1 can also obtain their forms in the school too.
The transfer forms are sold all year round if you choose to transfer your wards in between terms. The forms are available at the school principal's office at the rate of 3,500Naira only.

MEET OUR BELOVED PRINCIPAL

Mr Adejare Adesina

Mr. Adejare Adesina, was born in 1961. He hails from Ede North Local Government of Osun state. He attended Adogbi Primary School, Ede from where he proceeded to Togo where he had his Secondary education at Lycee De Tokoin, Lome. Mr. Adesina returned to Nigeria for his university education at the prestigious University of Ibadan in 19—

His teaching experience spans over thirty years; between 1980 and 1982 on his return from Togo and completion of his A’ Levels, he taught in Bashorun/Ojoo High School after which he opted to further his education at the University of Ibadan. In 1987, Adejare returned to Basorun/Ojoo High School to spend another five years in the teaching service of old Oyo state. Between 1993 to 1996, he taught in Baptist High School, ----

Due to his fervidness for quality education and his love for students Mr. Adesina established an after-school arrangement for students who needed to complement and consolidate what they had been taught at school. This centre, Adesina Continuing Education Centre ACEC founded in 1991 and located inside Isabatudeen Girls Grammar School, around General Gas area of Ibadan quickly gained popular admiration and endorsement especially by parents who resolved to cash in on the opportunity provided by Mr. Adesina’s ACEC. They have never been disappointed in the short and long run. This Centre subsists till date and now located in the premises of Adesina College, Ibadan.

Mr. Adesina’s successful experiment in his establishment of ACEC, which provided way out for hundreds of seemingly stubborn and academically poor students both from public and private schools alike, gave vent to the establishment of a regular school. Thus, voices from different quarters and his inclination to contribute his quota to the advancement of education in the state led to the establishment of Adesina College, Ibadan in 2003. The school has continued to be a force to reckon with both at the state and national levels.

Mr. Adejare Adesina served as the president of the National French Association of French Teachers NAFT between 1990 and 1994. He is the principal of Adesina College, Ibadan. He is married to Olufunke, a beautiful and hard-working woman. Together, they are blessed with a girl and two boys.
